A spiteful ex-girlfriend has been accused of launching a sentimental ‘first date’ brick through the window of a man’s Florida home while he was sleeping.
Sabrina Deanna Coyne, 34, was arrested on January 24 after she allegedly broke her ex-boyfriend’s window with a brick commemorating the first time they went out.
The brick reads ‘first date’ along with the couple’s names, dated June 14, 2020. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) shared an image of the romantic memorabilia turned weapon in a humorously edited video of Coyne’s arrest.
The LCSO shared clips of the Bonita Springs home’s surveillance footage and police body camera footage – with the tune of Shaggy’s song ‘It wasn’t me’ playing in the background.
Anytime she said something that reportedly did not align with the evidence, the LCSO plastered that word ‘wrong’ across the video.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrived at the scene after the homeowner was woken up by a ‘loud crash and banging on the front door.’
‘What’s going on?’ a deputy was heard asking Coyne in the video. ‘You’re the one banging on here?’
‘Yeah, I’m trying to get in touch with my ex-husband,’ Coyne calmly replied to the cop.
Coyne told police she was banging on the door because her ‘ex-husband’ was not letting her in
She allegedly hurled the heavily object through the home’s window – causing a dramatic smashing sound as the glass shattered
‘I banged on the door because he wouldn’t let me in.’
The unnamed ex-boyfriend revealed that the pair had never been married, according to Law & Crime.
Coyne also claimed to live there, but her ex-boyfriend told police that she had moved out six months ago when they split up.
The officer then asked Coyne if she threw anything through the window. Without hesitation, she responded that she had not.
But the evidence tells a different story, according to the LCSO.
In the allegedly incriminating door cam video, Coyne was seen approaching the home and nonchalantly bending over to pick the ‘first date’ brick up from the ground.
She then hurled the heavily object through the home’s window – causing a dramatic smashing sound as the glass shattered. Coyne appeared to be holding her cellphone up for light.
After showing the brick being thrown, the LCSO’s edit cut back to bodycam footage of Coyne being handcuffed. Coyne was heard maintaining her innocence and denying that she broke the window several times.

Coyne posted her $7,500 bond two days after her arrest and is scheduled to be arraigned on February 24
In the heavily edited footage posted by the LCSO, anytime Coyne said something that reportedly did not align with the evidence, police added in the word ‘wrong’
Coyne was charged with criminal mischief and throwing a deadly missile into an occupied dwelling, according to the sheriff’s office.
She posted her $7,500 bond two days after her arrest and is scheduled to be arraigned on February 24.
Records show that Coyne has been arrested two other times on battery charges since 2022.
