College star’s heartbreaking interview on brother killed in New Orleans terror attack after scoring Senior Bowl winning TD

One month on from his brother’s death in the New Orleans terror attack, college football player Jack Bech gave a hugely emotional interview after an MVP performance in the Senior Bowl.

On Saturday, TCU receiver Bech had six catches for 68 yards and the game-winning touchdown, and credited his late brother Tiger for helping him shine.

‘My brother had some wings on me,’ he said in an interview with NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. ‘He gave em’ to me and he let that all take place.’

Jack, who also gave thanks to Jesus Christ for his performance, added that he would instantly trade the impressive week he had in front of NFL teams in Mobile, Alabama for a chance to see his brother again.

‘It’s been surreal, just being able to come and take place in this game,’ he said. ‘It’s a goal you set for yourself. But if I had the option, that if I came here, had the worst week ever, ruined my draft stock, but that means I could give my brother a hug right now, I would take that.’

‘On the flip side of that, I don’t think I could have had the week I had if all that wouldn’t have happened. So like I said, his wings were on my side.’

Jack then shared an emotional hug with his mom and dad, who kissed him on the head several times as the group cried together.

Tiger, a former wide receiver for Princeton, was one of the 14 people killed early on New Year’s Eve when a terrorist rammed his truck through a crowd on Bourbon Street.

About 30 people were injured in the attack, which was perpetrated by Shamsud-Din Jabbar.

Jack won the Senior Bowl for the American team over the National squad with a two-yard touchdown catch from Memphis quarterback Seth Henigan on 4th-and-goal with just seven seconds left.

The receiver then dropped to one knee in the end zone in an emotional scene as his teammates swarmed him.

Jack, a senior, had a college career-best 1,034 receiving yards and nine touchdowns this season for TCU.

He is currently projected to be a fourth-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Tiger had been working at Seaport Global.

A company spokesperson told the AP, ‘He was extremely well regarded by everybody who knew him.’
