One of the NFL’s top coaches looked unrecognizable in a throwback picture showing off his impressive physique while smoking with his wife in the 1990s.
On Wednesday, Holly Campbell celebrated her 26th wedding anniversary with Lions head coach Dan Campbell, 48, by posting two photos on her Instagram.
The first snap shows the lovely couple kissing on the sidelines at Ford Field. It was then followed by a picture from the early years of their relationship.
In the second photo, Dan showed off his muscular physique as he posed topless with his long hair down. The pair appeared to be at a resort as Holly sported a bikini top in the picture.
Dan also appears to have a cigarette hanging off his lips and a pack of darts tucked into his shorts, which had fans raving in the comment section.
‘Pack of cigs in the waistline, totally radical,’ one user wrote.

‘Dude was living his best life. And still is,’ another suggested.
A third suggested that Dan was ‘Winning on and off the field.’
Dan and Holly met at Texas A&M where they both went to college while Dan played for the Aggies.
‘And they said we’d never last…26 years of love, laughter, and growth,’ she captioned. ‘Thank the lord for growth!!’
They got married in 1999, the same year that he was selected by the New York Giants in the third round of the NFL Draft.
Dan played for the Giants from 1999-2002 before going on short stints with the Cowboys and Lions. He wrapped up his career with the New Orleans Saints in 2009 and began coaching the year after.
He was a coaching intern for the Miami Dolphins in 2010 and was promoted to tight ends coach in 2011. In 2015, he became the interim head coach in Miami before leaving South Beach.
He was an assistant head coach and tight end coach for the Saints from 2016-2020.

Campbell has been instrumental in the Lions’ recent success after taking the job in 2021
In 2021, he took the head coach position for the Lions and has been instrumental in their recent success which culminated in their first playoff appearance since 2016 last year. The team went on to play in the NFC title game before losing to the San Francisco 49ers.
During his introductory press conference, Campbell praised his wife for being his ‘rock’ over the years.
‘I have to thank a lot of people, OK? First and foremost, my wife, Holly,’ Dan said. ‘We’ve been married for over 20 years. She’s been my rock, man.
‘She’s moved with me, she tells me exactly how it is — in a good way — well, not always in a good way, but my point is, she’s going to let me know exactly what she thinks, and that’s a good thing.’
Despite falling early in the playoffs this year, Detroit’s success continued as they went 15-2 in the regular season.
