The Minister of Petroleum participates in the African Energy Summit in the Tanzanian capital

On behalf of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, President of the Republic, Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources at the African Energy Summit in the Tanzanian capital, Dar es Salaam, which was held under the slogan & quot; The World Bank Group, in cooperation with the African Union. To strengthen the & quot “mission of 300 & quot”, which seeks to provide energy to 300 million people in Africa by 2030, contributing to overcoming the energy crisis that affects about 600 million African. & Nbsp; The summit activities dealt with the presentation of national plans to support the integration of regional electricity networks, and the development of solar energy networks, to ensure that remote and powerful areas are provided with energy in an effective and sustainable way.

& nbsp; Several major fields, such as low -cost energy generation, regional integration in the field of energy, increased energy access, empowerment of private investment, and enhancement of facilities.

& nbsp; On the Dar Al Salam Energy Declaration, according to which African leaders are committed to expanding energy access, enhancing the use of renewable energies, and stimulating private investment. & Nbsp;

& nbsp; Continuous to the concerns of the African continent, especially with regard to energy issues, and its full commitment to supporting continental initiatives to eliminate energy poverty, enhance cooperation, integration and regional and international partnerships to provide advanced and sustainable energy solutions that meet the needs of African peoples, and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals on the continent.

It is mentioned that the 300 Mission Initiative is a leading initiative launched by the World Bank Group and the African Development Bank along with other global partners, in April 2024, in unprecedented cooperation, to expand the scope of energy access and benefit from technology Innovative, financing to accelerate the continent’s transition to clean energy, where approximately 600 million Africans lacks access to electricity, representing 83 percent of the world’s deprived of energy.
