The General Committee in the House of Representatives held a meeting this morning, January 28, 2025, headed by Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali (Chairman of the Council), to discuss the recommendation issued by the Council regarding the promotion of communication with regional and international parliaments to explain Egypt’s steadfast position towards the Palestinian issue, and the need to strengthen parliamentary relations to communicate Egypt’s voice supporting justice and peace. However, the Palestinian issue does not accept compromise, calling on the General Committee to develop an integrated work plan aimed at activating the recommendation issued by the Council effectively to serve the Palestinian issue, as it was assigned by the heads of the Foreign Relations Committees- Arab Affairs- African Affairs- Defense and National Security- Human Rights, to develop a vision To formulate a comprehensive document that reflects the historical and current Egyptian position towards the Palestinian issue, so that this document includes political and diplomatic analyzes that highlight the danger of Israeli plans and the danger of displacement of Palestinians on regional security, and this document is presented to the council office in preparation for its approval after coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant authorities, and it is generalized to all Members of the Council participating in regional and international parliamentary forums to ensure the consistency and unity of the Egyptian vision. And highlighting the Israeli violations, stimulating international cooperation to support the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, warning the issue of displacement for the Palestinians and liquidating the Palestinian issue, and the need to communicate with regional and international parliamentary institutions, such as the International Parliamentary Union, the Arab Parliamentary Union and the Arab Parliament, to coordinate efforts to ensure the inclusion of the Palestinian issue on The official business schedules of these institutions and work to issue clear decisions that condemn Israeli violations and attempts to displace the Palestinians, in a way that enhances the Egyptian diplomatic position.
