We’re only one sleep away from Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 kicking off, and producers have already spilled on one huge change coming to this twisted season.
IDK about the rest of y’all, but like a crusty housefly, I am rubbing my legs and salivating at the thought of another MAFS landing on my lap every weeknight.
In the lead-up to the new season, a lot of rumours regarding plot twists and the cast have been swirling. I mean one of the rumours — which has since been confirmed — is that two exes have been matched by the experts! How juicy is that?

In a sensational tea spill, a bunch of MAFS producers have confirmed a huge change that’ll surely shake up the plot. In 2025, our MAFS victims participants will go through the Final Test Week.
IDKY, it’s giving cricket, but I’m keen to see what mess this brings…
Here’s what we know about the newest MAFS change.
What is the Married At First Sight Final Test Week?
Naturally, any fresh tea surrounding MAFS is kept under tight wraps. However, with hot intel from MAFS producer Alexandra Spurway, we can confirm that it will definitely make or break our 2025 couples.
“There is a choice that the individual has to make, and it’s make or break for their relationship,” Spurway said in regards to the disgustingly delicious plot twist.
“So it tests our couples in a way that makes them think about whether or not they’re going to make it work or yeah on the outside.”
Fellow MAFS producer Josh Walsh doubled down on the drama the Final Test Week is bound to bring, stating, “It has a big impact on at least one or more couples.”
According to 9Entertainment, Final Test Week participants will be handed the “aged-old question, ‘Is the grass greener on the other side?’”.
Again, we’re not 100 per cent sure what that entails. It honestly could be like asking folks if they like pineapple on pizza, but something screams “couple swap” or “hard launch” to me… but WHO KNOWS!
MAFS expert zaddy John Aiken also revealed that Final Test Week “exposes certain couples in a way we haven’t seen before.”
Look. It’ll be yonks away before we see Final Test Week. We still have the marriage ceremonies, dinner parties, homestays and all the jazz to get through first, so we’ll have enough drama to keep us at bay. But I’m truly itching to know what the grass greener on the other side means…
Married At First Sight kicks off Monday, January 27, 2025 on Channel 9 and 9Now.
