“Arab Journalists” calls for an immediate halt to the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip and the criminal prosecution of murderers of media professionals.

The General Secretariat of the Union of Arab Journalists demanded, during its meeting in Dubai, the immediate cessation of the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip, and the criminal prosecution of the killers of journalists.

A statement issued by the two meetings of the General Secretariat, headed by Moayed Al-Lami, President of the Union of Arab Journalists, said: To the extent that In which the Permanent Office expresses its condemnation of this barbaric aggression, it deplores the negligent positions of many international human rights organizations that dealt with the aggression selectively. And the nature of the professional performance of many Western media outlets that volunteered to play the role of obfuscating, falsifying facts, fabricating events, and spreading fake news. 

The members of the permanent office expressed their pride and pride in their fellow Palestinian journalists, male and female, and pay homage to the souls of the heroic martyrs among them. Who paid a high cost in order to expose the brutal aggression and who watered the land with their blood. Pure Palestine, and to their fellow Lebanese journalists, male and female, who were touched by the hands of Zionist terrorism.

The Union condemns the Zionist aggression that caused more than 40 percent of Palestinian journalists in Gaza to fall between martyr and injured, which is the most heinous crime in the history of international journalism. 

The General Union of Arab Journalists affirms that all Arab journalistic and media professional organizations and all Arab journalists, male and female, stand by alongside their colleagues in Palestine and Lebanon, and supporting the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate in confronting the barbaric aggression, and directing it to file complaints to the International Criminal Court against the criminals of the barbaric aggression against Palestinian journalists. Protecting Palestinian and Lebanese journalists and confronting the crimes committed against the Palestinian people, and calls for their immediate cessation without conditions. Or restrictions.

The permanent office of the General Union of Arab Journalists also calls on all Arab journalistic professional organizations and Arab journalists to affirm the Union’s firm position in boycotting professional normalization with the Israeli enemy.  

In the same context, the General Union of Arab Journalists follows  with great concern the recent developments in many Arab countries, as is the case in Yemen, where journalist colleagues are exposed to serious targeting for liquidation, and calls for… It is necessary to provide them with full protection, and to immediately stop the fighting in this brotherly country, and demands the immediate release of all kidnapped journalists from any party.

In the same context, the Union expresses its hope. That the political transformations in Syria represent a decisive turning point towards stabilizing stability in a way that preserves Syria’s unity, independence, and sovereignty over all its lands away from foreign interference, so that the Syrian decision remains for the Syrian people alone within the framework of purely democratic political choices.

It also calls on the new Syrian authorities to provide full protection to Syrian journalists and expresses its readiness to defend them whenever necessary. It also renews its firm position in support of legitimacy in brotherly Sudan and the Sudanese people, who are facing serious repercussions as a result of the ongoing fighting there, which has led to harsh and dangerous conditions of mass displacement and a great lack of livelihoods. The General Union of Arab Journalists renews the call for an immediate cessation of this war within the framework of the legitimacy of institutions and the fruitful national dialogue between the parties there, and calls on the Sudanese authorities to provide full protection to Sudanese journalists.
