The Minister of State for Military Production discusses with a delegation "Papirius" Australian waste recycling system development

 Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa, Minister of State for Military Production, discussed with a delegation of the two companies, “Paperius Australia” And "Papirius Egypt" Developments in joint cooperation, which aims to develop a waste recycling system for environmentally friendly products.

The Minister indicated that this meeting comes in light of the existing cooperation between the Ministry of Military Production and the Australian “Paperius” company. Within the framework of which the model complex for producing environmentally friendly cardboard containers from banana tree waste fibers was opened inside one of the factories affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production last October, which is one of the aspects of the Ministry’s efforts to participate in the implementation of the municipal solid waste system, which aims to dispose of Safe from waste and transforming it into environmentally friendly and economically viable outputs, which is what is already being done in this industrial complex.

He explained that the production capacity of the first phase of the integrated automatic production line for producing cardboard containers is approximately (60) million carton packages annually. The production line includes (6) tanks, a crumbling and softening machine, a drying oven, and presses. The capacity of the first phase is (50) thousand tons of banana plantation waste.

The Minister of State for Military Production confirmed that Cooperation with "Paperius" It comes within the framework of the work strategy of the Ministry and its subsidiaries, which is to ensure the use of technology and all modern theories and sciences to develop a highly competitive, advanced national industry, by exploiting surplus production capacities to implement projects for the benefit of the civil sector, which contributes to promoting comprehensive and sustainable development in the country and finding innovative solutions that contribute to improving The living condition of citizens; In implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to achieve cooperation with various local and international companies to transfer and localize the latest various manufacturing technologies within companies and affiliated units, the Ministry of Military Production aims to manufacture components of production lines and market them in cooperation with the “Paperius” company. For the benefit of the local market, and export to African countries and the Arab region.

For his part, Engineer Alaa Al-Gohary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Papyrus” Company, explained: The Australian newspaper said that cooperation with the Ministry of Military Production achieves an important environmental and economic return. The model complex for producing environmentally friendly cardboard containers from banana tree waste fibers contributes to replacing (10) thousand tons of plastic products annually, indicating that the traditional methods that farmers relied on to get rid of waste Banana trees were either burned or disposed of by throwing them in drains and roads, or manufacturing artificial fertilizer that harms the environment, adding that "Paperius" It found a great treasure in the waste of banana trees, as it works to recycle these wastes and manufacture many products, such as pulp suitable for producing paper, cardboard containers, and packaging tools, in addition to producing organic fertilizer and fertilizers.

Al-Jawhari praised the role of the Ministry of Military Production in participating in the project. Implementing national projects that enhance sustainable development efforts in Egypt in cooperation with various local and international development partners, led by private sector companies, expressing his happiness in cooperation with “Military Production” Due to the tremendous manufacturing and technological capabilities of its subsidiaries and distinguished human resources.

It is worth noting that Egypt grows 120 thousand acres of bananas as sustainable agriculture, which produces (12) million tons of waste annually, which produces about ( 8) Millions of tons of harmful gases if work is not done to utilize these wastes.
