Australian model and DJ, 37, tragically dies on holiday in Bali after falling from an apartment building

A popular DJ and OnlyFans star has died after a tragic accident while holidaying in Bali.

Courtney Mills, 37, was visiting her two dogs on the island when she fell from an balcony at the unit complex she was staying in Kuta on Friday.

She suffered critical injuries and was rushed to hospital, where she underwent several operations before she died surrounded by her family two days later.

Ms Mills spent several years living in Bali before returning home to Melbourne and moved back in with her parents.

Tragedy struck less than two years after she fell down a flight of stairs in Bali in 2023, which resulted in bleeding on the brain.

Her shattered family have broken their silence to pay tribute to a free spirit who never said no to an adventure or opportunity.

The much-loved DJ spun tunes at various Melbourne venues, including Metropol, Cushion, Secret Garden, Hotel Barkley and Motel Eve.

‘She was beautiful, big hearted, happy and go lucky,’ her mum Diane Mayne told Nine News as she fought back tears.

‘She lived life to the fullest.’

Ms Mills’ sister Kiani added that her death has been ruled as an accident.

It’s just the grief and mourning of a life that’s been lost way too early,’ she said.

Kiani told the Herald Sun: ‘The most beautiful thing we have been able to do for the last couple of days is sit and reminisce about the incredible life that she lived and how full her life was.’

‘She would drive hours and hours just to DJ for one hour.

‘She would fly across the country to do the job she loved so passionately and to her it wasn’t a job, it was a life.

‘Being behind those decks was her sense of freedom and we got to see her light up rooms.”

Just five days before she died, Ms Mills posted a clip of herself wearing a bright pink bikini dancing to 1990s hit Barbie Girl.

Ms Mills’ death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from friends, followers and the entertainment industry.

‘Absolutely devastated. You were such an angel and will certainly be remembered for your spark and kindness!’ one person wrote.

That Sound agency added: ‘Today, we mourn the loss of an incredible soul who brought joy, energy, and passion to everywhere she graced.

‘Courtney Mills was not just a brilliant DJ she was the heartbeat of every party, a vibrant spirit who connected us all.

‘We are grateful for the moments we shared and the memories we created together.

‘Rest in peace, your light will never fade.’

Fellow DJ Brandon Mangion described her as a ray of sunshine who lit up every room but said it was her compassion that set her apart from everyone else.

‘The last message I got from Courtney was ‘I’m here for you,’ he told Nine News.

‘Reading that yesterday broke my heart.’

Ms Mills’ remains will be cremated in Bali on Wednesday.

‘This place was her second home, so we wish to honour her and leave a part of her here,’ Kiani wrote online.

‘We will then return home with her ashes, to celebrate her life, Courtney style, in Melbourne.’
