The Prime Minister inspects the final touches of the Grand Egyptian Museum project and the surrounding area

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly confirmed that he is following up on the latest developments in the work and final touches at the Grand Egyptian Museum and the surrounding area. In preparation for its opening soon, which is considered a global cultural edifice that conveys to the world a great summary of the history and treasures of ancient Egyptian civilization in one entity.

This came during the Prime Minister’s inspection, today, Saturday, of the final touches of the Grand Egyptian Museum project and its surrounding area. This is within the framework of the preparations that the government is currently making in its various ministries and relevant agencies, to officially open it during the coming period.

The Prime Minister is accompanied, during his inspection tour, by Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza. Dr. Mohamed Ismail, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, and Major General Atef Moftah, General Engineering Supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum Project and the region. The surrounding area, and a number of concerned officials.

Madbouly pointed out the great effort made to improve and develop the areas surrounding the museum, explaining that a huge road network had been designed and built; To facilitate access to the area; Whereas, consideration was given to achieving integration and harmony between the Grand Egyptian Museum and all its surrounding sites, through the network of roads and axes leading to it, especially from Cairo and Sphinx airports, as well as linking the museum to the Pyramids Plateau. This makes this region one of the most important tourist attractions in the world, which contributes to improving visual vision, and there will be a cultural shift to highlight the aesthetic elements of the museum’s surroundings and the roads leading to it. This is in line with the importance of the museum as the largest monument displaying antiquities in the world and a cultural icon for all of humanity.< /p>
