The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs prepares for the book fair

Dr. Muhammad Abdel Rahim Al-Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, held a preliminary meeting to discuss the Council’s activities at the Cairo International Book Fair in its 56th session of 2025 AD, scheduled to be held from Thursday, January 23, 2025 AD, until Wednesday, February 5, 2025 AD. The meeting was attended by representatives of the relevant departments, including: financial and administrative affairs, marketing and exhibitions, stores, editing and publishing, and scientific committees. And the media center, and the verification of manuscripts. 

It was agreed to display a group of new books for the first time in the exhibition, the most prominent of which are: the book on Islamic asceticism, the book on the Sufi approach in Islamic jurisprudence, the book of what goes away and what does not go away, The book “The Miracle of the Qur’an between Theory and Practice,” the book “Ethics and Rules of Conduct in Islam,” and the encyclopedias of Islamic jurisprudence. It was also decided to prepare and approve a final list of publications, with a focus on the distinguished books of the year. 2025 AD. 

The Secretary-General directed that two sets of publications be presented inside a distinctive cardboard box, including: The Encyclopedia of Islamic Jurisprudence, and the Book of Paths of Guidance and Righteousness. 

His Excellency also directed the holding of cultural events entitled “Reading in a Book,” is broadcast live on the Council’s page, hosting an elite group of broadcasters and scholars to discuss the books on display, including: Dr. Hassan Madani, Professor Hassan Suleiman and Dr. Hoda Hamid, in addition to prominent scientific names and public figures.

The meeting confirmed the organization of daily activities for Al-Firdaws magazine in the children’s pavilion at the exhibition, attended by Dr. Hoda Hamid, in coordination with the Egyptian General Book Authority and the National Center. for children’s culture, distributing 50 copies of the magazine daily, and documenting all events with photography.
