Abu Hamila explained that The summit came at an appropriate and important time in light of the geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and regional and international challenges, explaining that deepening cooperation between the three countries contributes to confronting illegal immigration and terrorism and enhancing security and stability in the region, in addition to The presence of a number of representatives of more than 70 Greek and Cypriot companies and 200 Egyptian companies at the summit is an opportunity for Egypt to present the investment opportunities available to these companies, especially since Egypt’s climate has become attractive to foreign investments, which contributes to attracting more foreign investments from the two countries to invest in Egypt, especially since Egypt enjoys the presence of huge economic zones such as the Suez Canal Economic Zone and renewable energy and green hydrogen projects, in addition to Egypt’s strong and stimulating infrastructure and legislation that encourages investment.

 

Abu Hamila continued that there is a strong rapprochement between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus and the three countries are keen to increase joint strategic cooperation between them, expecting the volume of incoming tourism from Cyprus and Greece to increase during The upcoming period of visiting Egypt, especially after the visit of the Governor of South Sinai last November to Greece and holding an expanded meeting with prominent tourism companies there in order to promote South Sinai’s tourist destinations, in addition to the holding of the Egyptian-Greek-Cypriot Economic Forum. On the sidelines of the summit, with the participation of ministers of the three countries and representatives of companies from the three countries in various economic sectors, including energy, industry, agriculture, fisheries, infrastructure, and others, which contributes to attracting foreign investments in these sectors.

 

Abu Hamila pointed out that there is already joint cooperation between Cyprus, Greece and Egypt, including the electrical interconnection project, which is the green energy network project.
