Well, well, well, the more we learn about the rumours that Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged, the more they seem to be true. And, if some are to be believed, the pair have been betrothed for more than a year. Juicy, no? Let’s investigate.
The pair first sparked speculation after the Challengers star was spotted with a fkn ROCK on her finger at the 2025 Golden Globes. Now, the 28-year-olds have seemingly confirmed their engagement via wedding Instagram The Wed, with insider sources spilling some extra adorable info about how the proposal went down. Let’s get into it.
On Monday (local time), Zendaya attended the Golden Globes in a dazzling orange gown. It wasn’t long before eagle-eyed fans spotted the ring on her engagement finger and the teeny-tiny “T” tattoo popping out of the side of her dress.
Although neither one of the actors have confirmed the news themselves, multiple publications have reported that the couple is engaged amidst all the speculation.
On Tuesday, gossip goblins TMZ reported that the couple were betrothed, with sources claiming that the Spider-Man star got down on one knee between Christmas and New Year’s in one of Zendaya’s family homes in the United States.
This was backed up by The Wed a couple of hours later, which posted a gorgeous black and white picture of the happy couple.
“It’s official,” the caption began. “Our favourite couple, actors Zendaya and Tom Holland, are engaged! After years of dating, Holland proposed over the holidays with an east-west cushion diamond ring. Congratulations to the happy couple!”
God, I love an east-west setting, don’t you?
Although the big publications are reporting that the engagement took place in gooch week, the maiden of gossip, Deuxmoi, theorised that Tom got down on one knee back in October last year.
In a weekly newsletter, Deuxmoi shared a fan theory that Tom and Zendaya have been engaged since 2022.
“Back in 2022, Zendaya liked an Instagram post of her LA manicurist featuring a ring that bears a striking resemblance to the sparkler now seen on that finger,” the newsletter claims.
“The plot thickens: the jeweller behind the ring in the IG post in Jessica McCormick. Shortly after Zendaya’s ‘like’, Tom followed (and then quickly unfollowed) McCormick’s Instagram account. Coincidence?”

Deuxmoi also shared a message from a tattoo artist who claimed her boyfriend did the floral arrangements for Zendaya and Tom’s engagement. “I’ve been keeping this a secret for too long… proud girlfriend moment,” the submission read.
So, what do we think?
Personally, I think the couple have been engaged for a hot minute now. They are fiercely private and always have been. I think it would be pretty out of character for them to announce it — or, invite speculation — right away without being able to bask in the engagement bubble without outsider eyes prying in.
