Madbouly: Presidential directives to maximize the benefit from the ambulance pharmacies development project

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stressed the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the importance of working to maximize the benefit from the project to develop ambulance pharmacies, and to secure and provide citizens’ needs for medicines and medical supplies, through the presence of a widespread network of these pharmacies. Madbouly pointed out the important role of the Ministry of Health’s pharmacies, as well as the pharmacies affiliated with university hospitals, in dealing with any A crisis or problem related to any shortage of medicines required for citizens.

 

The Prime Minister explained the state’s interest in the pharmaceutical industry, and the keenness to continuously follow up on the various procedures and plans to localize this important industry, in addition to making every effort Various efforts are made to provide the raw materials necessary to advance the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt, and to provide a safe stock of these materials on an ongoing basis, in order to avoid any crises or shortages in the quantities and types of medicines required. For citizens.

 

For his part, the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, presented – during the meeting – a proposal about the possibility of exploiting public hospitals located throughout the republic in distinctive locations, which witness a large number of visitors. citizens, by providing larger pharmacies that provide medicines to those who visit the clinics of these hospitals, which provide medical services to millions of citizens. This contributes to ensuring the regular provision of medicines, especially those medicines in which the markets may witness a shortage in the quantities required for citizens.

 

He also presented an aspect of the state’s efforts to provide the raw materials necessary for the manufacture of medicines. medicine, pointing to the cooperation protocol that was recently signed between the Arab Company for Pharmaceutical Raw Materials “Arab API” The General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone is represented by the Economic Zone Investment Company. Abdul Ghaffar said, “The investments of this project amount to about 120 million dollars, and that it is considered the first of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East. This comes within the framework of the state’s efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in essential medicines.”

 

In turn, the head of the Egyptian Unified Purchasing Authority, Major General Doctor Bahaa El-Din Zidane, said, “The Every governorate now has a branch of an ambulance pharmacy, and the state provides, through this chain, various shortcomings in medicines.

 

He added: “ These pharmacies are the state’s tool for providing “various medicines”, stressing the readiness to open any place in any governorate and operate it through a chain of ambulance pharmacies, and provide the shortcomings through these. Pharmacies.

 

For his part, the head of the Pharmaceutical Authority, Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, pointed out the efforts being made in cooperation and coordination with various ministries and concerned authorities to provide citizens’ needs for various pharmaceutical preparations. He explained that the meeting also reviewed the proposal to launch the electronic application “Bal Shifa” During the first quarter of 2025; To expand the scope of ambulance pharmacies, the application will allow medications to be easily ordered from anywhere and at any time without the need to visit the pharmacy, saving time and effort by shortening the process of searching for medications and ensuring their rapid delivery to the door of the house.

 

He continued that this application will also work to increase operational efficiency, which helps pharmacies expand the scope of their services and reach a larger segment of customers at lower costs, and work to enhance convenience and reliability by providing a comfortable and safe experience for customers with the ability to follow the status of the order, in addition to supporting patients in the regions. remote areas by delivering medicines to remote areas that may lack nearby pharmacies, as well as reducing crowding in front of pharmacies and improving order management.
