Under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Orman Association succeeded in organizing (46) exhibitions to distribute furniture, electrical appliances, and new clothes free of charge to families in need of care in the governorates of (Giza – Kafr El-Sheikh – Beni Suef – Menoufia – Sharkia – Gharbia – Fayoum – Al-Buhaira – Minya – Dakahlia).
This came under the patronage of Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, who always emphasizes Paying attention to families in need of care and those who are unable, and meeting their needs. It also emphasizes the role of civil society organizations that have proven to be an essential pillar of development and growth, as Egypt is witnessing a boom in the work of civil society, and this is supported by a conscious and wise political leadership that believes in its role in many areas of social protection, care and development. Major General Mamdouh Shaaban, Director General of the Orman Association, stressed that the aim of organizing exhibitions is to bring a spirit of joy to the families in need of care, and to alleviate suffering. The burden is on their shoulders, as exhibitions were organized, inviting families to accompany their children, celebrating them, and distributing new clothes to them, in cooperation with small civil society organizations spread throughout all governorates of the Republic.
Explaining that organizing exhibitions of new clothes, furniture, and electrical appliances from Orman is done. According to a survey plan that aims to be present in all estates and hamlets, and that the beneficiaries of this are the families who are the first to be cared for according to the most important criteria, the most important of which is that these families are without a breadwinner, including widows and orphans, or that the breadwinner of the family is afflicted with a disease. It prevents him and his family from earning a living.
He pointed out that organizing exhibitions of new clothes for orphans and those in need came as a continuation of what the association has provided since the launch of its charitable work more than 25 years ago, as it places the orphan child at the top of the priorities of its charitable work in all Its activities, which extended to multiple aspects and charitable activities, yielded significant results in improving the lives of a large number of families most in need of care and need in the various governorates of the Republic. He stressed that the association provides its services to more than a million orphan children throughout the Republic.
Adding that the Orman Association has implemented a large number of charitable projects, including, in addition to developing poor villages, the delivery of small and micro projects to widowed women who are unable to do so and families who are unable to do so. As well as helping segments of the governorate’s incapable heart and eye patients to perform the required surgeries and dispense the necessary medication after signing the examination at the best medical institutions in the governorate and in Cairo, as well as distributing Seasonal assistance to segments of the needy, including Ramadan bags, winter blankets, and sacrificial meat.
