Kim Kardashian shocked her fans this week when she released a bizarre and sexually-charged music video for her cover of the Christmas classic Santa Baby.
The clip was called ‘demonic’ and ‘satanic’ by many on social media, but there may be more to the video than meets the eye.
One fan has now shared a wild theory online that said the clip, which was directed by celebrity photographer Charlie Denis and British visual artist Nadia Lee Cohen, may be railing against the commercialization of Christmas.
‘I had to watch it twice to get it all,’ wrote X user Ashton Paris, who claimed that the video’s real intention was to show people the true religious meaning of the holiday.
‘It’s basically, Santa is Satan, and he successfully distracted the world away from Jesus’ birthday,’ he explained.
‘It all comes together at the final shot where the nun is saying, “He is not a man of God,” and they are sweeping up all the money.’
‘And then Santa with the camera (he sees you when your sleeping, knows when your awake).’
Another fan shared a similar theory about the video’s pro-Christian messaging.

‘In this video, Santa seems to be recording the world and the sinners of the world,’ they wrote.
‘And Santa himself is presented as a Satan type character collecting the evidence of evil on his camera – a nun was on the floor before him saying, “He’s not a man a God.”‘
‘Kim seems to be a lost soul willing to do anything she has to to get what she wants,’ they continued.
‘Jesus is also showed hanging out with the sinners. All the sinners portrayed in the video are in need of saving. They all need Jesus Christ.’
In the Santa Baby visual, Kardashian is seen at what appears to be the aftermath of a wild Christmas party.
She crawled around the floor on her hands and knees while wearing a blonde wig and Skims shapewear, and eventually made her way to Santa Claus – played by former child star Macaulay Culkin.
Still on all fours, the reality star then seductively traced her fingers up Culkin’s knee as he filmed her with a vintage camcorder.
The video received backlash online, with some even going so far as to call it ‘demonic.’

‘I thought you are Christian Kim, and this video is blasphemous. SMH,’ commented one critic.
Another wrote, ‘Anyone who thinks this is art is deranged.’
A third added: ‘This looks like every single nightmare I’ve ever had. This is demonic, like, what are you doing Kim? And I don’t even dislike Kim, but I’m sorry, what is this?’
Kardashian herself has given no explanation behind the meaning of the video, but she is incredibly open about her Christian faith.
The reality star went to a Catholic school growing up, and her children are all baptized.
‘We don’t share it much, but we’re really religious,’ she previously told Vogue.
‘We start our day with a group chat with a Bible verse from my mom, and everyone chimes in on the meaning of it.
‘We are very Christian – and our work ethic and our discipline comes from so many years at Catholic school.’
