The Minister of Foreign Affairs holds bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the activities of the 21st session of the Council of Ministers of the Group of Eight developing countries
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, held bilateral meetings this evening, Wednesday, on the sidelines of the 21st session of the Council of Ministers of the Group of Eight Developing Countries (D-8) with Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Abbas Araqchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, and Yusuf Maitana Togar, Nigerian Foreign Minister, and Zambri Abdul Qadir, Malaysian Minister of Higher Education.
The meetings dealt with the overall bilateral relations between Egypt and Turkey, Iran, Nigeria and Malaysia. And ways to develop them in the political, economic and commercial fields and push them to broader horizons. They also touched on the most prominent developments of common interest in the Middle East and Africa, most notably developments in Syria, Gaza, Lebanon, Sudan and the Horn of Africa.
The discussions reflected a mutual desire to raise the level of coordination. And consultation to support bilateral relations and achieve regional security and stability, as well as enhancing cooperation in multilateral frameworks, whether in the African Union or the United Nations.
