Al-Azhar University honors the head of the Media Syndicate in celebration of International Arabic Language Day
Representative Dr. Tariq Saada, head of the Media Syndicate and member of the Senate, met with Professor Dr. Salama Dawoud, President of Al-Azhar University, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Siddiq, Vice President of Al-Azhar University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdel Malek Al-Khatib, Vice President of the University of Upper Egypt, in his office.
The two parties discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides, specifically with regard to media cooperation between the Media Syndicate and Al-Azhar University.
This came based on the invitation that Professor Dr. Reda Abdel-Wajed Amin, Dean of the College of Media, directed it to the Head of the Media Syndicate to lecture in the educational symposium titled “Media and the Arabic Language: Preserving Identity and Enhancing Cultural Presence,” within the framework of the College of Media and the University’s celebration of International Arabic Language Day.
For his part, Professor Dr. Reda Abdel-Wajed, Dean of the College, said that the College is keen to celebrate and cherish the Arabic language to preserve the Egyptian and Arab identity, stressing that the College is honored It is happy to have Representative Dr. Tariq Saada as a member of the College Council from abroad, by decision of His Eminence the Grand Imam, Sheikh of Al-Azhar. He also expressed his happiness with the participation of the Head of the Media Syndicate as a lecturer in this symposium organized by the college on media and the Arabic language.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Al-Mahrasawi, former president of Al-Azhar University, also participated in the symposium as a lecturer, as a professor specializing in the Arabic language and literature. Professor Dr. Abdel-Radi Hamdi, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Sameh Muhammad Abdel-Ghani, Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research, were also present, in addition to Dr. Ali Hamouda, Head of the Department of Journalism and Publishing at the College.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the professor presented Dr. Reda Abdel-Wajed, Dean of the Faculty of Media, awarded Al-Azhar University’s shield to Representative Dr. Tariq Saada in honor and appreciation for his prominent role in controlling the media scene and strengthening national identity.
From For his part, the head of the Media Syndicate expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Al-Azhar University and its leaders for this honor, praising the efforts of the university and the Faculty of Media For the pioneering role in preserving the Arabic language, cultural identity, and moderation of religious discourse.
