He pointed out that small projects not only benefit individuals, but also contribute significantly to supporting the national economy. He also stressed the necessity of continuity and working with conscience and determination to achieve sustainable successes that benefit the individual, the family, and the nation.
His Holiness the Pope explained that China, which is the largest exporting country in the world, achieved this success thanks to small projects. His Holiness called on project owners to be patient, persistent, and strive for excellence to make Egypt a leader in the field of small industries.
The “Saint Mark” program is interested in For humanitarian aid, by providing support to families, widows, and youth in various parts of the Republic by enabling them to establish small projects that provide them with a sustainable source of income.
It is noteworthy that small project services have been included within the office’s activities since 2021, and the office was able to support 318 projects. In various specializations during the current year (2024) in several governorates.
These projects included: manufacturing detergents, growing mushrooms, raising birds, and shops selling… Vegetables, clothes, accessories. In addition to group projects such as a factory for peeling and freezing potatoes and a project for printing on clothes, in addition to individual projects such as hairdressers and pizza and pie shops.
Inspiring models for small projects: 1- Potato factory: a group project that includes 15 individuals that began with peeling And cutting potatoes for factories, then it developed to include boiling, frying and freezing operations, so that the project became self-sufficient, and the half-fried potatoes were marketed directly to restaurants. And churches.
2- Father and son project: specializing in selling, installing and maintaining water filters, and the project owners dream of manufacturing filters locally instead of importing them.
3- Hairdresser project : He began by training one of the women in the profession, then opened a small shop for her, which she is working on developing to include sales services for makeup and accessories.
4- The Clothes Printing Project: A group project for three university students. Through it they support their studies expenses. The project is characterized by printing on dark clothing with the possibility of customizing designs according to the customer’s request.
5- The sewing project: It began with two individuals who owned simple machines to produce hospital gowns and medical bags, then expanded to include the manufacture of clothing and sheets, and it currently employs six people. Individuals.
6- Mushroom cultivation project: It was implemented by a young, recently graduated engineer who began studying the project online, then developed into a consultant in this field, and received an invitation to advanced study in United States.
7- Bird breeding project: It started with young chickens, then expanded to include turkeys, quail, and laying hens, in addition to selling eggs at low prices to reduce the burden on neighbors.
For their part, the participants praised the impact of these projects in improving the standard of living and creating new job opportunities, stressing their pivotal role in building stable families and a productive society.
