Raiders’ Charles Snowden ‘found passed out behind the wheel of running car’ during DUI arrest

Las Vegas Raiders star Charles Snowden was found passed out by the wheel of a running car by police, it has now been revealed.

The defensive lineman was arrested for DUI on Monday in Nevada and is facing a single misdemeanor count.

The NFL player was found ‘passed out in the driver’s seat with the engine running,’ when cops arrived at the scene, according to the Las Vegas Police Department’s report, obtained by TMZ.

The officers said they were dispatched to Snowden’s 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee at around 11:30pm local time after receiving a call of a suspicious vehicle.

Las Vegas Metro Police arrested Snowden on Rainbow Boulevard near Sunset Road on the southwest side of the city.

There, they discovered that Snowden’s SUV had ‘almost rolled off a four foot retaining wall.’

The cops claimed that they banged on the vehicle window in an effort to wake Snowden, but it was to no avail as the defensive end reportedly repeatedly fell back to sleep.

After around 10 minutes, Snowden finally stirred, woke up, turned the engine off and exited the vehicle, the documents reportedly state.

Snowden is said to have smelt of alcohol and couldn’t stay balanced on his feet. He was then arrested and ultimately charged with one misdemeanor count of DUI.

‘Mr. Snowden will be entering a not guilty plea and we will respond in court, which is the appropriate forum,’ his attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, said in a statement via CBS

Earlier this week, the Raiders organization said it was aware of the arrest but would ‘not comment further as this is a legal matter.’

Snowden is due to appear in court Tuesday for his arraignment hearing – one day after the Raiders are slated to play the Atlanta Falcons. His status for the Monday Night Football matchup is not currently known.

Undrafted out of Virginia , the 26-year-old Snowden is in his first full NFL season. Although he was undrafted, the Maryland native has carved out a roll for the Raiders after serving on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ’ practice squad in 2022.
