Sports Illustrated model Brooks Nader is getting real about taking Ozempic – and admits that her three sisters are in ‘big trouble’ for ‘ratting her out.’
While speaking to DailyMail.com at the CELSIUS Padel Classic celebrity charity tournament during Miami’s Art Basel on Friday, Nader opened up about the controversial GLP-1 drug and when she started taking it.
Over the past few years, GLP-1 medications, which have historically been used to treat type 2 diabetes, have become extremely popularized as a weight-loss aid.
Ozempic contains a compound called semaglutide, which ‘mimics the GLP-1’ hormone, according to UCLA Health, a hormone that can work with your brain to suppress your appetite and make you feel fuller more quickly.
When it’s taken in a high dose, combined with diet and exercise, it can help people lose weight.
Earlier this month, Nader made headlines after one of her sisters called her out for using the drug in a playful video posted to TikTok.
And, it turns out that Nader isn’t exactly happy with her sisters for sharing the information.
‘My sisters ratted me out on that, which they’re in huge trouble for, but yeah, I did,’ the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model told DailyMail.com.

Nader, who hails from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has three sisters: Mary Holland, Grace Ann and Sarah Jane.
‘I tried it out when it first came out, and I liked it, I can’t lie,’ Nader admitted about the GLP-1 medication.
But when she started performing on Dancing With The Stars this season, the model had to stop taking it, she shared.
‘It was so taxing on your physical body and everything, and it makes you so tired, fatigued, so I kind of had to take a little hiatus from it,’ she said with a laugh.
However, going back on it isn’t out of the question for the Dolce & Gabbana model.
‘I mean, never say never… as of right now, no,’ she said, explaining that she was hopefully going to be burning some calories while playing padel.
‘Keep staying healthy and working out, hopefully I won’t have to,’ she added.
Some internet users criticized the star for taking the weight loss drug, as many believed she was already thin enough.

Nader’s Ozempic chatter comes as it appears she’s sparked up a romance with her Dancing With The Stars partner, Gleb Savchenko
‘What a vain, confused society we live in when a 27-year-old model thinks she needs to lose weight. Equally as sad that aforementioned model chooses to do so with a pill rather than naturally,’ one user wrote in the comments section of DailyMail.com’s article about Nader.
Another agreed, ‘Someone that thin doesn’t need an ozempic script for weight loss.’
‘That is ridiculous that she felt the need to even try a little bit. She was thin to start with! This whole weight loss obsession that’s going on is truly concerning,’ someone else typed.

The two were paired together on the show, but were unfortunately eliminated after a few weeks.
Though, it looks like their relationship – or some semblance of it – is still going strong, as the pair were spotted at the South Beverly Grill in Los Angeles last week.
The lovebirds were seen making googly eyes at each other as they sat outside and chatted closely together.
As they walked back to their car, Savchenko, 41, insisted to TMZ they ‘are [really] together’ and their connection is ‘real’ following persistent showmance rumors.
When asked about the ring on her wedding finger, Nader, who was previously married to Billy Haire, explained she ‘turned an old ring into a new ring.’
She proceeded to call the accessory her ‘divorce ring.’
The exes announced their split earlier this year following four years of marriage.
