President Sisi and the Prime Minister of Ireland affirm their keenness to strengthen their bilateral relations in various fields, especially the economy

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Prime Minister of Ireland, Simon Harris, affirmed Egypt and Ireland’s keenness to strengthen their bilateral relations in various fields, especially the economic field.

This came during President El-Sisi’s meeting, today, Wednesday, with the Prime Minister. The Irishman, within the framework of the official visit made by President Sisi to the Republic of Ireland; As part of his European tour, which also included Denmark and Norway.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated that President Sisi signed the record of historic visits of dignitaries at the Prime Minister’s Office, and that this was confirmed during the meeting, which took place between The two sides then stressed the keenness of the two countries to strengthen their bilateral relations in various fields, especially the economic field.

The spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic added that the two sides agreed to take concrete steps to benefit from Irish technological expertise in The sectors of industry, communications, agriculture and the environment, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the two friendly peoples and their common interests.

 

The official spokesman indicated that the meeting also addressed the situation in the Middle East region, where Egyptian efforts were reviewed. for a ceasefire and the implementation of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip without conditions or obstacles, and the need to work to prevent escalation or extension of Conflict. 

 

For his part, the Irish Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian historical role in supporting the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people, praising the persistent and wise Egyptian efforts to calm the situation and achieve stability in the Middle East.  

 

For his part, President Sisi praised the courageous Irish positions in support of the Palestinian cause, as both sides affirmed – in this Regarding – expanding recognition of the Palestinian state within the framework of the two-state solution; It represents the basic guarantee for achieving peace, restoring stability, and advancing development efforts in the region.

At the end of the interview, the President invited the Irish Prime Minister to participate in the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
