This Friday morning, the contestants participating in the thirty-first International Holy Quran Competition began arriving from various parts of the world to the land of Kenana. In preparation for the launch of the activities tomorrow, Saturday, December 7, 2024 AD, corresponding to Jumada al-Awwal 5, 1446 AH, the competition will be held this year at the Misr Mosque and its Islamic Cultural Center in the New Administrative Capital, which is the site that is witnessing for the second time in a row this global Quranic event.
The competition is held under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, and continues for four consecutive days. It includes an elite group of the sweetest and most proficient voices in reciting the Holy Qur’an. The competition is considered one of the most prominent religious events held by Egypt in the service of the Book of God Almighty and the memorizers and scholars of the Holy Qur’an, and highlights its position as a beacon of the Holy Qur’an globally.
