At the microphone of RTLhe took stock of his state of health. “I’m doing as one can go when one enters one’s 96th year, I’m a little sluggish, so to have an exact perception of those around me, it’s a failure“, declared Philippe Bouvard. We imagine that his discreet wife Colette does her best every day to help him. The couple lives between a private mansion in the 17th arrondissement of Paris and a 100m² apartment in the South of France. During his life, the presenter has multiplied his residences, even buying a villa with a swimming pool even though he does not know how to swim…”I have always had a passion for beautiful houses“, he admitted to Figaro.
When will Philippe Bouvard retire?
The host, who assured RTL that he had “at least 500 lives because I did all the jobs“, is not yet officially retired despite his declining health and advanced age. Philippe Bouvard will retire on January 1, 2025, a date he personally chose.
“You have to wish me a few more quiet years, with family and far from all the conferences“, explained the host during his public outing. Philippe Bouvard also assured that he wanted to die in Cannes. “I always wanted to live in Cannes and not die elsewhere. I learned to live every day in Cannes. And learning to live daily in Cannes means never going anywhere else“, he said on stage.
