The governor of Minya leads an inspection campaign on Malawi bakeries to control the bread system
Today, Major General Imad Kadwani, Governor of Minya, led an expanded inspection campaign on a number of municipal bakeries in the center and city of Mallawi, to ensure the quality of the loaf provided to citizens and the extent of the bakeries’ adherence to the specified weight and specifications, in addition to determining the bakery owners’ compliance with the rationary laws and decisions.
Major General Kadwani confirmed that the governorate continues to implement intensive monitoring campaigns to ensure that bakeries adhere to health and production standards, stressing that any violations detected during these campaigns will not be tolerated, whether related to underweight or bread not conforming to specifications, in order to ensure that the support reaches those who deserve it. And achieving social justice.
During the tour, the governor appealed to citizens to be partners in monitoring the bread system, and asked them not to leave ration cards inside bakeries for any reason, noting that collecting cards aims to trade in subsidized bread, which leads to the loss of citizens’ rights and the support does not reach those who deserve it, stressing To take the necessary legal measures against anyone proven to be involved in these violations, whether bakery owners or citizens.
For his part, Engineer Abdel Basit Abdel Naeem, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, explained that the campaign resulted in the arrest of 23 various ration violations, including underweight, production of bread that did not conform to specifications, unclean kneading tools, disbursement violations, and assembling fortified flour. The necessary legal measures were taken against violators to ensure work discipline in the bread system and improve the level of service provided to citizens.
The governor met with a number of citizens and listened to their demands, assuring him that his repeated visits had a positive impact on improving the services provided to them. The governor was accompanied during the campaign by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, Owais Qasim, head of the center, and financial and administrative inspection officials in the governorate.
