Since 2014 until now, all sectors have witnessed a major boom and giant projects that have contributed to providing a decent life for the citizens of Minya Governorate. Among those sectors is the housing sector, which has contributed greatly to providing housing units at reasonable prices. The housing sector witnessed the implementation of 976 buildings with 23,300 housing units and 208 investment shops, the most prominent of which is the new city of Malwa, the governorate capitals development project, the Misr Paradise 1 project and Dar Misr, Misr Housing, Housing for All Egyptians, and social housing. The cost has reached 9.25 billion pounds, as well as the development of slums. The cost amounted to 195 million pounds, and 48 buildings were implemented with 1,032 housing units. And 192 commercial units, to develop the Ishsh Mahfouz area and the Workers’ City area in Minya.

The environment sector and the supply sector do not differ much from the rest of the sectors, as they had a large share of the projects witnessed in the governorate, as two projects were implemented to develop the Tuna El-Jabal solid waste factory, and establish the Adwa solid waste recycling factory, at a cost amounting to 140 million pounds.

At a cost of 75 million pounds, 25 projects were implemented in the supply sector, most notably the development of the Beni Mazar silo, the construction of the Adwa silo, the construction of 3 hangars in the centers of Maghagha, Samalout, and Mallawi, and 17 advanced catering services centers in all the centers of the governorate.

As for the tourism sector, it had a large share in the development work and establishment of projects, given the governorate’s archaeological and tourism status, as the cost of the projects amounted to 282 million pounds. 9 projects were implemented, the most prominent of which are: the project to revive the Holy Family Path in the Deir Jabal al-Tair area, and the replacement and renovation of the Malwa Museum. Developing the Tel Beni Omran tourist marina east of the Nile, and developing 4 tourist areas in the centers of Dermawas, Mallawi, and Samalut, and the construction of the museum is being completed.
