Robert Irwin Announces Premiere Date

Fans of Network 10’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! are cheering after the star-studded reality TV show has been confirmed to return next year with Robert Irwin and Julia Morris as hosts, with a first look and a premiere date.

Back in September at the Network 10 and Paramount upfront, the station confirmed that I’m A Celeb would return for an 11th season in 2025. And though that may feel like the distant future, it’s only a few weeks away! Yikes!

There’s also been plenty of speculation about which big names can be expected to appear on the program this year, with Australia’s viral breaking Olympian Dr Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn pinned to be headed to the jungle. Unfortunately for her fans, Raygun herself dispelled this rumour.

Thankfully, wildlife warrior and Gold Logie nominee Robert Irwin appeared on The Project on Tuesday night to drop some updates on what and when to expect the upcoming I’m A Celebrity season.

Whilst speaking on The Project panel, Irwin confirmed he and Morris would be returning to the jungle on Sunday, January 19.

Mark it in your calendars, folks!

The Project also played a first look at the upcoming Season 11 of I’m A Celebrity that featured the two hosts donning 1950s attire, and singing and dancing with the same era’s musical stylings in a mockup of an old TV advertisement.

The first look can be seen below.

During the show, comedian cohost Sam Taunton began questioning the young Irwin on which celebrities might be appearing on the show this season.

“Will you get your mate Prince William in there?” the comedian asked, referencing the fact Robert and William had recently hung out.

“I was trying to  give this under wraps a bit longer,” Irwin responded.

However, the young TV host kept his lips sealed:

“I have a strict policy, cannot confirm nor deny. I will just leave it at that.”

Call me a skeptic, but I’m not sure that the Prince might not be appearing on the show. Call it a hunch.

Taunton then quizzed if another Project host would be headed to the jungle, and asked if Waleed Aly would be going on the reality TV show.

“I can’t confirm these things,” said Aly, less convincingly than Irwin’s response to the royal question.

So while Raygun may be scratched off the list, we can add Waleed Aly and the future King of England to the pool of speculation.

Cheers Taunton!
