49,000 residential rental contracts documented in Abu Dhabi during the first half, with an annual growth of 102%

Abu Dhabi, August 2 (WAM) – The total number of documented residential rental contracts during the first half of the current year 2024 in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi amounted to about 49,135 documented contracts, an increase of 24.8 thousand contracts compared to the same period last year 2023.

Data from the Abu Dhabi Statistics Centre showed that documented rental contracts recorded an annual growth of 102%, as the Emirate of Abu Dhabi witnessed the registration of 24,324 documented rental contracts during the first half of 2023.

In detail about the documented contracts in the emirate, Abu Dhabi recorded 43,985 documented rental contracts, with a growth of 104.9% on an annual basis, as it recorded about 21,465 contracts last year.

For its part, Al Ain city achieved a growth rate of 77% on an annual basis, after recording 4,819 contracts in 2024, compared to 2,715 documented rental contracts in 2023, while the Al Dhafra region recorded 331 documented contracts during the first half of this year, compared to 144 contracts during the same period last year.

Last June witnessed the second largest growth in documented contracts on an annual basis after March, which achieved a growth of 2.9%, as 8,162 documented rental contracts were registered across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during June, compared to 5,787 contracts in the same month in 2023, equivalent to an annual growth of up to 2.7%.

The Emirate of Abu Dhabi continues to develop its real estate system by offering various units and projects to meet the increasing demand for residential rentals, which comes in line with the increasing population in the emirate, reflecting its position as one of the best real estate destinations for investors of various nationalities.
