Dr. Reem Mustafa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Ismailia, was keen to inspect the medical convoy in the center and city of Qantara East, on its first day, which was organized by the Health Directorate as part of the President of the Republic’s “Decent Life” initiative.
This comes in implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, and the instructions of Major General Akram Mohamed Galal, Governor of Ismailia, to intensify treatment convoys for citizens, which are concerned with paying attention to citizen health and reaching the villages most in need. The convoy includes free examination and treatment in various medical specialties.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health inspected the signing of medical examinations for patients in various medical specialties, which include 6 specialized clinics: internal medicine, general surgery, children, obstetrics and gynecology, dentistry, family planning, detection of diabetes and high blood pressure, educational seminars, X-rays, referrals, laboratory tests, and dispensing… The necessary treatment for patients is free, and the number of patients who were medically examined reached 417 patients during the first day of the convoy. The medical convoy will continue to provide its services to citizens tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Qantara Youth Center. East.
During the tour, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Ismailia met with the convoy’s medical staff team and many frequenters, and was reassured of the regularity and quality of the service provided to citizens through the convoy.
On the sidelines of the convoy, the “Bedaya” initiative continued its activities by offering many cultural and entertainment activities and competitions, handing out gifts to the winners, and adding a spirit of joy and happiness to those attending the medical convoy from different age groups.
Dr. Buthaina Barakat, the convoy coordinator, indicated that all medical specialties visited the convoy throughout the first day, as it received 93 citizens in the internal medicine clinic, 98 cases in the pediatric clinic, 81 citizens in general surgery, 31 citizens in the dental clinic, and the family planning clinic received 43 women, And 15 women in the women’s clinic, while the clinic for detecting chronic diseases, blood pressure and diabetes, received 42 cases, and medications were dispensed. The free caravan pharmacy, which has a diverse list of medications for free, as well as health awareness and education seminars for those attending, was accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Reda Saeed, Director of the Technical Support Office.
