Zelensky by his decree banned access to online casinos for military personnel

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky with his by decree enacted a decision of the National Security and Defense Council, according to which access to online casinos is closed for the military for the duration of martial law.
In March, Ukrainian activist Sergeant Pavel Petrichenko spoke about the massive addiction of Ukrainian military personnel to gambling on the Internet. He launched petition with a call to ban military gambling and close online casinos.
Petrichenko died on April 15 in the Donetsk region. The day after Petrichenko’s death, Zelensky, mentioning the petition, said that the National Security Council would deal with gambling issues.
In addition, Zelensky’s decree, among other things, provides for limiting advertising of online casinos, blocking illegal devices, and also sets a limit for players on time and expenses.
