20 billion dollars in investments and contracts to export Egyptian products to Libya are the results  The mission of the Federation of Egyptian Industries to the cities of Tripoli and Benghazi, which lasted 8 days with the participation of 43 Egyptian companies.

The mission – which was launched under the title “Together towards Africa” – concluded a package of joint cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Benghazi, headed by Moneim Al-Saiti, the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Tripoli, headed by Mohamed Abdel Karim Al-Rayid, and the Emaar Libya Holding Company to establish investments and export products to cover the needs of the Libyan market for all Egyptian goods and products, especially those  The Libyan state needs it for reconstruction and to hold two exhibitions, one in Benghazi and the other in Tripoli, entitled “Made in Egypt.”

Correcting the false image held by the Libyans about the conditions of the Egyptian industry, especially about the pharmaceutical industry, as they had two perceptions that Egypt only has an industry for international companies and prohibits the export of medicines, which is why smuggled Egyptian medicines enter the Libyan market at cheap prices  But we explained to them that smuggling harms the patient’s health because the smuggled medicines are of unknown origin and manufactured under the stairs, and we explained to them that there are many Egyptian companies and factories that produce medicines and can export to Libya.

The Libyan Minister of Economy, Mohamed Al-Hawaij, was interested in the delegation and met with us many times, along with the Deputy Prime Minister of Benghazi, the head of the Investment Authority, and the Egyptian ambassador in Tripoli  He stressed that the Libyan state enjoys advantages over European countries in terms of climate and a coastal strip extending 1,850 kilometers long, which makes it an important tourist destination and a large consumption market for products.
