1,097 citizens were examined for free in a therapeutic medical convoy west of Alexandria

The Directorate of Health Affairs in Alexandria organized a medical convoy over two days, at Banjar Unit 5 in the Borg El Arab Medical District in Alexandria, which is 21 km away from the nearest hospital (Borg El Arab Hospital).

This comes within the framework of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building” and the President of the Republic’s “Decent Life” initiative, and under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, Governor of Alexandria, and under the supervision of Dr. Ghada Nada, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Alexandria and the Department of Therapeutic Medicine. And the Department of Medical Convoys at the Ministry of Health and Population.

Dr. Ghada Nada, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Alexandria, said that the convoy included 7 medical specialties (internal medicine, children, women, surgery, dentistry, orthopedics, family planning) through 8 fixed clinics and 6 mobile clinics.

48 members of the medical team and their assistants from the Directorate of Health Affairs in Alexandria and its affiliated units participated, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, technicians, administrators and workers.

She indicated that during the convoy, medical examinations were conducted on 1,097 patients from the people of the region, and treatment was provided to them completely free of charge.

Dr. Rasha Jibril, coordinator of the treatment convoys, also added that during the convoy, 146 medical analyzes were conducted in the convoy’s blood laboratory and 135 analyzes in the parasitology laboratory, in addition to examining 174 patients’ companions for the purpose of early detection of blood pressure and diabetes. The convoys also conducted health education for 316 citizens of The people of the region on a number of health issues.
