Armie Hammer references cannibalism controversy as he returns with music video cameo after abuse allegations

Armie Hammer is continuing his attempted comeback with a new appearance in a music video.

The disgraced 38-year-old actor is featured in the newly released music video for Typical Squeeze by the singer and actress Georgina ‘Georgie’ Leahy.

Even more shocking than Hammer’s attempt to get back into acting is the fact that he apparently references accusations that he shared cannibalistic fantasies with women who accused him of abuse.

In the YouTube credits for Leahy’s video, Hammer’s character is flippantly named ‘Kannibal Ken.’

But the move shouldn’t be a total surprise to the Call Me By Your Name star’s fans, as he admitted in October that he now ‘likes’ the ‘cannibal stuff’ that has followed him around as he attempts to resuscitate is career.

The small music video role follows the launch of Hammer’s HammerTime podcast in late October and the announcement that month that he had booked his first film role since allegations of rape and emotional and physical abuse temporarily derailed his career.

Hammer’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo occurs in a stylized scene in the Typical Squeeze music video in which Leahy is driving a classic convertible through a cartoonish version of Hollywood.

Suddenly, the actor pops his head up while grinning devilishly as he appears to be holding on to the trunk of the car.

Hammer, who wears a Hawaiian-style shirt and has his shaggy hair swept back, smirks at Leahy, who turns around and lets out a scream before losing control of the pale blue car, which flips into the air.

In what might also be a reference to allegations that Hammer expressed cannibalistic fantasies, animated severed limbs are briefly seen twirling in the air comically after the car crashes.

During his scene, the Social Network actor briefly lip syncs along with Leahy, before he adopts a shocked expression as she loses control of the vehicle.

While the connection between Leahy and Hammer isn’t obvious, Deadline theorized that they may have been connected by the video’s director, Jerry Brunskill, who is a friend of Hammer’s and a producer on his new HammerTime podcast.

Leahy is best known for being a contestant on The Bachelor UK and a singing semi-finalist on Britain’s Got Talent, though more recently she has focused on television work.

She voiced the character Stella on FXX’s animated series Helluva Boss in recent years, and she is also credited as a co-producer on the biographical drama film Bosco, which was released by Peacock in February. 

In October, Hammer was reported to be getting back into making films with his first role since he was booted from Hollywood in 2021.

He shared on-set photos from the upcoming Western Frontier Crucible to his Instagram account. 

Thomas Jane leads the cast of the film, which is directed by Travis Mills and adapted from Harry Whittington’s 1961 novel Desert Stake-Out. 

The film, which has been described as ‘Reservoir Dogs meets Bone Tomahawk,’ takes place in 1870s Arizona Territory, when a former soldier with a tragic past is forced to join forces with three outlaws, as well as a beautiful woman and her injured husband, as they try to survive the brutal frontier. 

Despite the allegations of rape and abuse from multiple women that derailed his career, Hammer was never charged with a crime, and he has vehemently denied the accusations.

Last year, he and his estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers reached a divorce agreement after splitting in 2020.
