California’s biggest influencer music and arts festival, Coachella, has officially come to a close with Weekend Two ending on a massive bang. However, the festivities didn’t go without some big moments, like Deadmau5 issuing an apology for an alleged drunk performance. Here are the biggest moments from Coachella Weekend Two.
In a big, big bang, Coachella has officially wrapped up its shenanigans for 2025. While we didn’t get devil worship allegations this weekend, we did get one (allegedly) drunk DJ, an apology and a Charli xcx X Green Day crossover.
So, without further ado, here are the biggest moments from Coachella 2025 Weekend Two.
10. Deadmau5 apologises for alleged drunken performance
Joel Zimmerman — famously known as Deadmau5 — took to Instagram to apologise for his performance on April 18.
You see, Zimmerman was performing at Coachella as his alterego, Testpilot, alongside Zhu when shit allegedly hit the fan.
Per Variety, Zhu and Tespilot were scheduled to play for multiple hours. However, their set was cut short after Testpilot “was seen (and heard) taking shots and slurring his words”. The publication adds that the DJ fell behind the DJ booth and was escorted off stage.

Shortly after the debacle, Zimmerman took to Instagram with two posts addressing the incident.
In one post, which was of a water bottle, the musician wrote, “I don’t remember a thing”.

“But I don’t think I had a cig?” he wrote, regarding his vow to quit cigarettes a week earlier.
“So… that’s good, I guess? Going back to bed. Wake me up around Thursdayish.”
He then commented under the same post that the 2025 set was “probably [his] last Coachella show.”
In a second post, which featured a photo of his cat, Deadmau5 thanked his co-DJ Zhu for “carrying [his] dumb ass” until the “bitter end” of their Coachella set.
“Man, even my cat is disappointed in me. Tho, it could be argued that she always has been. Sorry about last night,” he wrote.
“Huge shout out to @zhu for introducing me to whisky and carrying my dumb ass till the bitter end. lemme quit smoking, do some fucken personal resetting here at home, find my spirit animal, work on some new music, and come back better.”

9. Lady Gaga handles technical issues like a pro
During Mother Monster’s iconic performance of “Abracadabra”, Lady Gaga unfortunately suffered a series of mic malfunctions. Eventually, the diva was handed a handheld microphone where she continued to belt out the banger!
Later on in the night, Gaga addressed the blunder, apologising to the crowd for the inconvenience.
“I’m sorry my mic was broken for a second,” Gaga said.
“At least now you know I sing live!

“I guess, all we can do is our best, right? I’m definitely giving you my best tonight.
“I love you so much.”
8. Charli xcx and Green Day banter over beef allegations
ICYMI, Miss Charli xcx made headlines on Weekend One after netizens reckon she shaded beloved punk band Green Day for wearing a “Miss Should Be Headliner” sash to her Coachella afterparty.
However, during Green Day’s Weekend Two performance, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong wore a brat hat, dispersing any whispers of beef between them and the “party 4 u” songstress.
Later on in the night, Green Day’s Tré Cool was photographed wearing an “Actual headliner” sash, to which Charli replied, “obsessed”.

5. Tyla responds to the idea that her outfit was inspired by Britney Spears
In a more spicy twist to Coachella tea, “Water” singer Tyla seemed to anger Britney Spears fans after one X user said her Weekend Two Coachella ‘fit was inspired by Britney Spears’ 2001 VMA “Slave 4 U” costume.
In response to this claim, Tyle tweeted, “Love her but I just thought the outfit was fly…no inspo”.
Is this a joke? It’s literally the same outfit 😭 pic.twitter.com/JJbKAFR8z4

As a result, Britney Fans accused the singer of being “rude” towards the “Gimmie More” icon.

“Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people.
“It is being enabled by the US Government who arm and fund Israel despite their war crimes.”
The strong messages come after the group accused Coachella of censoring their pro-Palestinian messages during Weekend One, Rolling Stone reports.
1. Fans go viral for their reactions to Charli xcx’s ‘party 4 u’
UGHHHH. This is definitely one of those “IYKYK” moments, but lemme explain!
So there’s this part in Charli xcx’s “party 4 u” that is TRULY gutwrenching. While this particular part of the song is just Charli singing “party 4 u”, there’s something sinister and beautiful about the silent backing track and autotuned voice.
During Charli’s performance of the beloved track, the camera panned to a bunch of fans who were seen crying.
Everyone at Coachella being religiously moved by party 4 u is too iconic 😭😭 pic.twitter.com/fpQANEI2o9
— iv★n (@crashbrat) April 20, 2025
Since then, these fans have become a representation of how we feel about the brat movement and how it intertwines with our relationships and lives. It’s more than just being a “365 party girl”, it’s about being a lover girl at heart, and these baddies crying at barricade truly personify that feeling.
Welp, that’s a wrap on the big-ass Coachella fest! Fingers crossed we’ll be reporting live from the next one!
