THE "Black Dog"this London pub has become the new place of pilgrimage for Taylor Swift fans

Nearly 40,000 ads in the United Kingdom, but only one cited by Taylor Swift in her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. Since the release of the opus on April 19, fans of the American singer have flooded this small establishment in southwest London.
The Black Dog is both a bar… and the title of a song by icon Taylor Swift. After listening to the last album, Simran wanted to put the image of a place on the lyrics. “Basically, she’s talking about her ex. She sees him on her phone going to this pub with someone else, and she says to him: ‘I thought you missed me, I hope you have a really bad time in this bar‘”, says the “Swifty“. “I’ve been obsessed with finding this place, and it’s near the places I usually hang out”continues the young Londoner.
At least 14 pubs in the country share this name, The Black Dog. But Swifties, Taylor Swift fans, are 100% sure that this is the one it’s about. They take turns to take a photo on the porch. John, an American who comes to London regularly, does not recognize the neighborhood. “For a few years I have been staying at a hotel right next door. The manager warned us in advance that this year we would have difficulty booking into the pub because, all of a sudden, there were of the world. We’re a little old for that!”he laughs.
On the menu, the servers of Black Dog have renamed their flagship burger “the Swift” and are offering beers to fans who come especially. Lily Bottomley, the pub’s events manager, testifies to the excitement around the establishment: “An hour after the album came out, people started arriving to take photos”. “Our reservations are full, our sales have increased. We created a TikTok account which already has 1.5 million views. Our Instagram page has five times more subscribers. We will soon release derivative products. This is not only love, only good vibes”she enthuses.
